Ronald Reagan High School
Being a Latina born in a city with multiple cultures can have its highs and lows. I try to look at the good things and not so much the bad things. People live happier that way and I can definitely say that I have since I began looking at the bright side. I go to Ronald Reagan College Preparatory High School. What does that mean? It means that I have worked hard to get to where I am now. I went to an elementary and middle school that offered me very little of what I actually needed for high school. I had a rough start beginning high school and I definitely reached points in which I wanted to give up. I am very proud of myself for not giving up on myself because giving up on school work would have meant that I was giving up on everything that my parents worked for and I would give up on my two younger siblings who very much look up to me.
As a person who wants to pursue a career in which health and technology merge together has definitely been both fun and stressful. I love the adventure of not knowing what I will do next and I love knowing that I will always learn something new. I strive for a more diverse future in the computer sciences and I know that I will be part of that future.
